Showcased in more subtle and refined ways, it is safe to say the 1900s are back with a bang. Seen in almost every show on the runway this fashion season the cycle is repeating itself from A-line skirts to fluted and flared hems, this year has condensed many a decade into its trends and they are here to stay for a while!

A line skirts in all shapes and sizes are also another contender of the 1900s with suede A line skirts definitely being one of the top go to pieces for this season.

Like many others, the 1900 trends are a great source of dressing inspiration for me, the flared pants are a piece of clothing that I have enjoyed wearing a lot. An item that can we dressed up or down making it extremely versatile. Pairing high-waist  flared trousers with a graphic tee and a cropped denim jacket and sandal wedges would be a simple day time look that can be swapped with a cropped top and strap heels for a night out!

The shift dress is not only versatile but super comfortable and conservative. In my opinion the shift dress is one piece that is flattering on everyone and the fact that it comes in infinite colors and prints gives this piece extra brownie points.
I chose a simple white dress with black detailing which greatly added to the “mod” effect, who said black & white has to be plain and boring?!

I paired it with my go to Zara strap heels and a vintage sling bag. In all honesty a lot of my vintage dressing enthusiasm also has got to be due to my new short hair which I love! Definitely going to go shorter next time!
